So blessed to have another day of grace. I hope everyone experienced a safe, happy and restful Memorial Day weekend and that the summer season brings joy and fulfillment. I was thinking the other day, after considering some challenging events happening around me, that we are not loving one another as we of faith have been commanded to do. It breaks my heart to see how quick we are to condemn, but we are no where near as quick to extend grace and mercy. I'm referring to agape love, which those of faith are commanded to give, not eros love that I wrote about in an earlier post. It brought to mind a thought I had not long ago, which was, if we treat God irreverently and with hostility at times, our family and friends probably don't stand a chance. A friend said to me this weekend as we discussed this subject: "I am called to love not judge." I like that and wish we would do more loving than judging, although the Bible does tell us, that as time draws near to a close, love will wax cold! I pray that you will love on someone today and that you will honestly receive that love in return.
Be Well, Be Joyful and Be Free!!!
